24/7 Emergency Restoration Across Racine, Kenosha, Waukesha and Walworth Counties

911 Restoration of Southeast Wisconsin handles water damage, basement flooding, mold, fire, sewage and storm damage from Franklin and Oak Creek to Racine, Waukesha and Burlington, and dispatches crews to Kenosha, Pleasant Prairie, Lake Geneva, Twin Lakes, Delafield and Oconomowoc. Three things drive property damage in this corner of Wisconsin: rivers that rise fast after heavy rain, from the Root River to the Fox; Lake Michigan storms that batter the Racine and Kenosha shoreline; and long winters that freeze pipes, build ice dams and test every sump pump in spring. Our crews work from Monarch Drive in Franklin, and the same team handles the emergency, the cleanup, the paperwork for your insurance carrier and the rebuilding.

LOCAL RISK GUIDE

Damage Risks Across Southeast Wisconsin

Fox River towns: Burlington, Waterford and Waukesha

The Fox River at Burlington crested at 16.15 feet on July 13, 2017, the highest crest on that gauge's list and well above its 11-foot flood stage. Riverfront homes take groundwater through basement walls and floors before the river ever reaches the yard.

Racine and Kenosha lakeshore

In January 2020, offshore winds above 50 mph and near-record Lake Michigan levels damaged parks, beaches and storm water outfalls along the Racine shoreline, and the mayor declared a state of emergency. Waves, spray and groundwater reach basements near the lake.

Waukesha County and the August 2025 rain

Preliminary reports in the August 2025 storm included 12.61 inches of rain at Pewaukee and 11.25 inches at Brookfield. Rain at that rate can overwhelm sump pumps and sewers.

Franklin, Oak Creek, Muskego and the Root River

The Root River rises quickly after heavy rain, flooding roads and riverside yards, and a Muskego neighborhood saw basement walls collapse in August 2025. Freeze and thaw weeks add burst pipes and water main breaks across the territory.

Frequently Asked Questions About Restoration in Southeast Wisconsin

How fast can you reach my property?
Our typical arrival is 45 minutes in Franklin, Oak Creek, Racine, Caledonia, Franksville, Sturtevant, Muskego, New Berlin, Brookfield, Elm Grove, Waukesha, Pewaukee, Mukwonago, Big Bend, Burlington and Waterford. For Kenosha, Pleasant Prairie, Bristol, Delafield, Hartland, Oconomowoc, Okauchee, Lake Geneva, Twin Lakes and Salem, we dispatch a crew as soon as you call and tell you the arrival time. We answer 24 hours a day at (262) 294-6366.
Do you work with my insurance company?
Yes. We provide Direct Insurance Coordination: we document the damage with photos and moisture readings, prepare a written scope, and communicate with your adjuster. Your policy decides what is covered.
Does homeowners insurance in Wisconsin cover a sewer backup or flood?
Usually not without extra coverage. The Wisconsin Office of the Commissioner of Insurance says sewer backup and sump pump overflow are not covered by standard homeowner's or flood insurance and need a special endorsement, and flood is typically not covered by homeowner's policies. Check your declarations page before the next storm.
How long does water damage restoration take?
Most residential water losses take 3 to 5 days to dry, followed by repairs. Finished basements, hidden leaks inside walls and contaminated floodwater take longer because materials must be removed and the area disinfected.
What should I do while I wait for your crew?
Stop the water if you can, turn off power to wet areas if it is safe, move valuables off wet floors, and take photos. Stay out of floodwater and sewage, and keep children and pets away from the affected area.
Which areas do you serve?
We serve Franklin, Racine, Kenosha, Pleasant Prairie and Bristol, Oak Creek, Caledonia and Franksville, Sturtevant, Muskego, New Berlin, Brookfield and Elm Grove, Waukesha, Pewaukee, Oconomowoc and Okauchee, Delafield and Hartland, Mukwonago and Big Bend, Burlington and Waterford, Lake Geneva, and Twin Lakes and Salem, plus Union Grove, Kansasville, Eagle, Dousman, North Prairie, Wales, East Troy, Elkhorn, Delavan, Genoa City and Silver Lake.
What happens when the Fox River floods in Burlington or Waukesha?
Riverfront basements and yards flood first. In July 2017 Burlington closed all four of its bridges across the Fox River and set a curfew, and the Fox River at Waukesha crested at 8.62 feet in August 2025, above its moderate flood stage. River water is contaminated, so flooded materials are removed or disinfected, not just dried.
Can Lake Michigan storms damage homes near the shore?
Yes. In January 2020 a lakeshore storm in Pleasant Prairie destroyed about 40 feet of a backyard, and the village deemed a partly destroyed home uninhabitable. Near the lake, check basements for seepage after any big wave event and call us if walls or floors turn wet.
Why do basements flood here even without a river nearby?
In heavy rain, storm water gets into sanitary sewers through cracked pipes, foundation drains and connected downspouts, and sump pumps can burn out or fall behind. Both send water into basements far from any river. A battery backup for the sump pump and a backwater valve reduce the risk.
Do you handle tornado and storm damage?
Yes. We tarp roofs, board up openings, remove storm-damaged materials and dry out wet framing and insulation. The National Weather Service confirmed five tornadoes in Racine County on April 17, 2026, and wind and fallen trees can open a roof anywhere in the region.
Can a water main break or water change damage my home?
It can. Freeze and thaw weeks break water mains, as one did near Sunset Drive and West Avenue in Waukesha in December 2022. When pressure returns after a break or a service change, check fixtures, supply lines and water heaters for leaks.
