Transforming Our Community Through Outreach

Nothing is more important to us than providing others with a Fresh Start! But the most important transformation we can make is in our own communities through outreach, service, and involvement.

Tim Crane, our franchise owner at 911 Restoration of Charlotte, has been hard at work doing just that. Since early June, Tim has been a dedicated sponsor of Take On Sports, a local youth program that offers athletes with special needs the chance to play their favorite mainstream sports. From soccer to bowling and baseball to disc golf, Take On Sports aims to provide “athletic fun for folks with physical and/or intellectual disabilities.”

When Take On Sports was founded by Gina Fisher in 2007 as part of the Wesley Chapel Weddington Athletic Association (WCWAA), it was a much smaller program focusing primarily on baseball for athletes under 17 years of age. Now, thanks to the generous support of the community and local business owners, Take On Sports has grown to include six different sports for participants of all ages to enjoy.

Tim has been an active supporter of Take On Sport’s basketball program this season and is now one of the organization’s biggest sponsors. In a recent article with the Union County Weekly, Tim spoke about the importance of this organization, saying “They just do something so special for these kids and they feel so great about themselves. What I’ve witnessed, it just melts you heart.”

Tim’s generosity and support for his community is the perfect example of the Fresh Start Attitude in action. We are so proud of have members of our 911 Restoration family who are so connected and dedicated to helping transform their communities.
