Water Damage Restoration in Sugar Land

Getting your property in Sugar Land back to its previous glory following water damage can be a monumental task, but it is one that can be done with time, patience and a degree of hard work. Those that work in the industry of water damage restoration will know that there are four varying degrees of water damage when assessing a property.

Class A Damage: This can be where the water has a slow evaporation rate and losses only affect a small area of the room or the materials within the room are not likely to be porous (i.e. leak or absorb water), these materials include ply wood, concrete, and structural wood. Here there are very little soaked carpets and most of the materials are releasing the water slowly through evaporation. As always, you should contact a professional restoration company in Sugar Land when you have severe damage.

Class B Damage: This type of damage has a fast evaporation rate and is present where a whole room has been affected, including sofas, carpets and foot stools. Moisture has been retained in the structural wood or concrete and a scum line will have formed on the interior walls of between 12″ to two feet (24″) high.
